Basel 2024 Competition
IFOMPT will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024. We will be celebrating this milestone at our 12th Conference in Basel, Switzerland in July 2024. Together with our 2024 Conference hosts, SVOMP, we are launching a video competition to celebrate the milestone and also market and promote the IFOMPT 2024 Conference.

Participants are invited to create a video that showcases 50 years of IFOMPT excellence within a time limit of 50 seconds.

What is the theme?
50 years in 50 seconds, celebrating 50 years of IFOMPT excellence
Participants must adhere to this theme. The videos can be as creative as you want to showcase the theme, using images, videos, sound and props. All video entries must be original works created by the participants. Plagiarism or the use of copyrighted material without proper permission will lead to disqualification.Eligibility
Registered physiotherapists and physiotherapy students are invited to submit videos showcasing 50 years of IFOMPT excellence.
What prizes are on offer?
The competition offers three conference registrations to attend the IFOMPT 2024 Conference in Basel. These prizes do not cover accommodation, travel, food, beverages, or any other expenses incurred by conference participants. The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for monetary compensation.
Adjudication of entries
IFOMPT has an independent judging panel who will score the entries based on audio/visual (usability) quality, freshness of the idea and creativity, capturing the competition theme effectively, compelling presentation, performance or message, and attention to detail including production, props, location, etc.
Each entry will be independently scored by the judging panel based on the above criteria. The total score for each entry will be out of 40 points. The decisions made by IFOMPT or the judging panel are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into with any parties who have submitted entries.

Timeline
The competition will launch on 31 July 2023. The first round will end on 29 September 2023 and the winner will be announced on 6 October 2023. The second round will end on 1 December 2023 and the winner will be announced on 8 December 2023. The third and final round will end on 22 February 2024 with the winner announced on 29 February 2024. Note that all entries submitted remain in contention for subsequent rounds if not selected as the winning entry in a particular round.
How to enter
To submit your video entry, save your 50 second video in your Dropbox or similar platform and e-mail us the link to admin@ifompt.org. By submitting the video, you connfirm that you agree to the terms and conditions of the competition. Please ensure that we are able to download the video by ensuring the link has editing rights. In addition, you are welcome to post your video on your own social media and tag IFOMPT. IFOMPT will note the entries and also distribute them including using the IFOMPT social media accounts.
Following each closing date, the panel will meet and evaluate all the entries received and select a winner.
Participants must adhere to the highest ethical standards in their submissions, ensuring that all content is respectful, professional, and does not violate any confidentiality or privacy agreements. IFOMPT reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates the competition rules or IFOMPTs Code of Conduct.
By participating in the competition, entrants grant IFOMPT the right to use and share their videos for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes as it determines and with proper attribution.
