Membership of IFOMPT

How do I know if I am supposed to be part of IFOMPT?
If you have completed your postgraduate training at any of the IFOMPT accredited training institutions and are a member of the Member Organisation, you are a part of IFOMPT. If you are unsure, contact the Member Organisation in your country for clarification.

How do I join IFOMPT? I am a qualified OMPT and want to be part of IFOMPT?
IFOMPT membership is by country through the Member Organisation and not individual. Your membership of the IFOMPT Member Organisation automatically gives you the IFOMPT credential if you completed an IFOMPT accredited training course. It is recommended that you contact your Member Organisation to check your membership status with them.

How do I become IFOMPT Accredited?

My country is not a member of IFOMPT – how can I be part of it?
You can speak to your national World Physiotherapy accredited PT body to determine if they do have an IFOMPT subgroup, and if not and there is a demand, the country should consider creating an OMPT group and registering with IFOMPT as a Registered Interest Group.

I am not a member of the MO/AMO/RIG in my country – how can I be involved with IFOMPT?
The only way to be a member of IFOMPT is through your countries’ IFOMPT MO, AMO or RIG. The first and recommended step would be to become a member of the IFOMPT accredited group. If that is not an option for whatever reason, a way for you to remain in touch is by following IFOMPT on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and also by signing up for The IFOMPT Network.

How can I follow IFOMPT if my country is not a member?

IFOMPT does not have individual members. To remain informed on IFOMPT activities, follow IFOMPT on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and also by signing up for The IFOMPT Network.

I want to volunteer my time and expertise to IFOMPT - how do I do that? It is recommended that you contact your country’s member of IFOMPT to volunteer to become involved in their structures in the first instance, and that could evolve in becoming involved with IFOMPT structures and events in future.
