IFOMPT has collected a series of educational resources (lectures, videos, publications, etc) from educational committee meetings and conferences. These are organised according to topics – note that the event where the material was presented is included in brackets in each case.
We are delighted to let you know about a patient education resource for people with gluteal tendinopathy. We wanted to develop some evidence-based patient education resources on the management of Gluteal Tendinopathy, that would be freely available to our patient and public populations. The content was developed through collaboration between the LEAP Ireland research team here at RCSI School of Physiotherapy, including myself, Dr Sania Almousa, and Sinead Roche, the project manager for this project, and the Australian LEAP team, Prof Bill Vicenzino, Dr Rebecca Mellor and Dr Alison Grimaldi, based at the University of Queensland, and of course also in collaboration with our public advisory panel. This project was funded by a Health Research Board Ireland Knowledge Translation Award. Both resources can now be accessed freely online.
The 5 min patient education video, on ‘Managing Gluteal Tendinopathy’ can be viewed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcMEjzV4vBM
