Purpose

To provide guidance and advice to the EC regarding the IFOMPT learning and professional development offerings to the wider physiotherapy community.

2026-2028 Charges

Objective 1: Anchor the IFOMPT Webinar Initiative by finding speakers and recording webinars to ensure that a new webinar is rolled out every two months.

Objective 2: Continue the initiatives to enhance the previous webinars by arranging follow up Q&A and update sessions with previous speakers

Objective 3: Further developing the IFOMPT Podcast offering to a point where regular podcasts are made available as a member benefit and as a tool to share information to those not yet involved with IFOMPT.

Objective 4: Facilitating a training and development offering for RIGs and potential new IFOMPT members to share information with the wider OMPT community.

Objective 5: Developing an online repository of basic material that can be available free of charge to assist in enhancing OMPT knowledge in the IFOMPT Learning Zone and on the IFOMPT website. The group to also develop a policy on the use of this material and an indemnification notice re making it available by IFOMPT.

Communication and Reporting

The advisory group chair will be responsible for ensuring effective communication between the advisory group and the EC.

Working Methods
The advisory group will work remotely using email, video conferencing, online meeting platforms, or any other technology as needed to enable fair and reasonable consideration of any matters. All documents will be available to members in electronic format, information contained in documents is confidential to IFOMPT staff, the advisory group, and the EC.

Conflict of Interest

Members of the advisory group will comply with IFOMPT’s conflict of interest policy, and any other relevant policies, at all times. Members will declare any matters that may create a true or perceived conflict of interest or bias at the start of each meeting and at other times as required by policies.

Limitation on Powers

The advisory group cannot invite further individuals onto the group without the specific agreement of the EC.
