MSc/PG Dip/ PG Cert Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
Full-time:     1.5 years
Part-time:    2-6 years
Location:    Eastbourne and placement in clinical settings.
The MSc Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy will enhance student’s clinical practice of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Students will increase their expertise in the examination, assessment, treatment and management of patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction. Students will also increase their knowledge of the theory and research underpinning their practice and have the opportunity to contribute to the research base of musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
The course promotes a holistic, person-centred approach to musculoskeletal physiotherapy and thus the course content includes philosophical discussions, health promotion, communication, chronic pain management and psychological therapies. Diagnostic, narrative, ethical collaborative and embodied approaches to clinical reasoning are advocated.

Quotes from previous students on their experiences of the course and it’s impact on their clinical practice:
‘....I am really glad I went through this process of learning as it has changed my life clinically, personally and philosophically’
‘Clinically I am much more independent than I believe I ever would have been as I am not restricted in my practice....Personally and philosophically I am much more confident, humble, flexible and open to other opinions.’

‘In the UK, the course opened up the job market for me considerably. I ended up being a mentor for senior 1 physiotherapists and a point of reference for many of my colleagues’
